The training of cybersecurity experts provides the necessary framework for the correct implementation of security tools at all levels within organizations. E-governance imposes cybersecurity standards along with the emergence of new vulnerabilities, risks and threats to the security of organizations. The need for cybersecurity experts is self-evident in a society where electronic information is all-encompassing.

Relevance for the Labor Market

Graduates of the master's program will work in prestigious national and international companies, in government institutions in Romania and the European Union, with activities and stakes in the field of cybersecurity. Graduates can choose a career in research, through doctoral studies in research groups at UPB, with excellent results in recent years (scientific articles, projects, collaborations, competitions), or other prestigious universities throughout the globe.


The Advanced Cybersecurity Program (Sisteme Avansate de Securitate) is recommended for graduates of the fundamental field of Engineering Sciences, the field of undergraduate studies in Computer Science and Information Technology and specialists in the field of Computer Science.

Specific definition of the concepts that characterize cybersecurity. Identify cybersecurity vulnerabilities, risks and threats at the organization level. Securing systems at all levels: hardware, software, infrastructure, policies. Design and development of software and hardware components with security in mind. Security specifics for general purpose systems, mobile devices, cloud systems, IoT devices. Design of security and cyber protection procedures. Development of cybersecurity policies within organizations. Elaboration and implementation of the cybersecurity incident response plan.
